Lukas Avenas

I am a young designer, still studying in Vilnius academy of arts.

In 2012 I joined Vilnius Academy of arts, Klaipeda faculty and finished one year of study there.
In 2013 I transfered to Vilnius academy of arts, Vilnius faculty and I am currently studying there.
At the beginning of 2015, I went on an exchange program to Finland, Lahti university of applied sciences for one semester.

A design award 2015, silver.
Design department and "Artemide" lamp design contest: 2nd place.
Electrolux design lab 2014: in top 100.
"Tano" lamp and "14" lounge chair were exhibited in Litexpo furniture exhibitions, Vilnius design week events and a tv show "Durys atsidaro.

I always thought that design must be as simple as possible, both to manufacture and use. This simplicity together with function dictates shapes and designer has to create the most appealing image out of them.

I was first introduced to design when I was at school. I went to "Kaunas high school of art" and I got to try out many forms of art and among them was design. Everything in those lessons felt very natural and I continued to work on my design skills since then.
